Qualitative evaluation of PuP animations with CAAC

Central Australian Aboriginal Congress (CAAC) has been providing intensive family support to families and children in and around Alice Springs utilising the Parents under Pressure (PuP) framework for 7 years.

A partnership between CAAC, ITalk studios and Dr Carmen Cubillo (Healing Circle Psychology) has created a series of video animations that capture key messages around family and children’s wellbeing. Each animation is presented as a short story with a narrative around emotional regulation and helping children feel loved and safe.

The animations are provided in English, Arrente and Pitjantjatjara. This unique project resulted in shared intellectual property between Congress and Griffith University with the animations provided in the public domain.

We are currently carrying out qualitative research to learn how the animations are being received by parents and practitioners.
